Hi Hi5

You wrote.............

I was in the star forum same as saucywkc and I think that's the
best forum so far......

/I met KC too at Star forum, and I introduce him to Klans mailing list,
but later left. I've been around with KC for some time, visited
several sytems with him. You know him well? As we moved on,
everyone changes in their views over hifi matters, and tended to
look for new grounds to 'break'!

/Star forum was good then, quite free to talk almost anything,
I remember some forumers even took on Sujesh over some
equipments reviews. Colourful discussions then, but could pretty
much get out of hand sometimes. Unlike the Klans, alot of
restrictions have been set/ put in place, but can't be help,
as some hifi enthusiasts do get very emotional & at times
very indifferent about some views and tended to push
their ideas thru sometimes forcibly 'down somebody's throat'
so to speak!

Smile Hi Hi5,

I met Foong at one of the meet, it was before a performance
at the Petronas Philharmonik. We had coffee at The Dome
with Truck, the chief moderator of Klans.

I met quite many members from the Star Forum, and some still in
contact. Many have left Klans and now in other forums.

Yes, it would be nice to meet up over a cuppa.

Smile Smile Hi Eddy, sure will tinkle u when I'm in PJ area.

Do drop by for another listen, and sure you could bring along
the friend who wanted to sample the sound of 4 subs. Smile It's
a totally different listening experience the sound of 4 subs from
just 1 unit, though most of the time many audiophiles could
managed with 1 unit and get it integrated properly. It's more of
feeling some of the low frequencies as well as hearing it. With
just 1 unit, by the time one could get it right and start to feel a
bit, the low hz contents might be a bit too much in you face
perception. With multiple subs, each unit works a little bit, and
not allowed to overwork, so won't reach the stage where the
drivers are overdriven! And there is this thing call dampen factor
of drivers which may not be a problem when multiple drivers of
different sizes are used for different range of the low frequencies.

BTW would you be interested to come with me some time later
to visit the audiophiles in Seremban area? Maybe in April/May.
Sort of like tutorials or practical lessons besides just reading.

Wink
